Sounds like you've recently read Dr. Richard Carrier's book, "Sense and Goodness Without God." It's a decent book, but I definitely don't think the atheist conclusion is the necessary conclusion from the arguments. I've often said that if a god has a name and personality that must be communicated by men to other men, then it's a fake man-created god. But there is enough evidence IMO to conclude a significant probably (more than just possibility) of *something* or some ultimate sentient force/consciousness source out there beyond our physical existence. Can I prove it? Nope. But I was an atheist for 13 years and came to the realization that an atheist/materialist worldview leaves far too many questions unanswered, and is a just another worldview for coping with existential realities without providing any real, tangible answers to life's metaphysical questions. And so I keep seeking... ::shrugs::
